Seeing a Black or Blue Screen, or Snow

Step 1: Make sure the television itself is on the correct channel. It should be on channel 3. If the problem persists, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Your set top box must be powered on in order to work. Make sure that the set top box is powered on by pushing the STB button and power. The light on the front of the box will light up when activated.  If the problem persists, proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Reboot your equipment by unplugging the power cord from the set top box.  Wait 15 seconds and  then plug the power cord back into the set top box. The system will reboot (this may take as long as 5 minutes). 

If none of the above work please try pressing the INPUT button on your TV's remote control a couple of times to ensure it's set to the correct input. Last, if you have a VCR hooked up to your TV for recording programs, please make sure that it is turned off. Some VCRs will output on the same channel as the set top box.
