Why do I get disconnected after sending or receiving e-mail? |

You might have the option, hang up after sending and receiving selected. To remove this option:
- Open Outlook Express
- Click on the "Tools" menu
- Click on the "Options" option
- Click on the "Connection" tab
- Click to un-check the "Hang up after send/rec" option
- Click OK

- Click on "Control Panel"
- Double click on "Internet Options"

- Click to put a dot in front of "Always Dial my Default Connection"
- Click "OK" to close the window
Windows XP Users:
- Click the "Start" button
- Click on "Control Panel"
- Double click on "Internet Options"
- Click on the "Connections" tab
- Click to put a dot in front of "Always Dial my Default Connection"
- Click "OK" to close the window

How do I disable call waiting on my computer |

Windows 95, 98 and ME Users:
- Double click on "My Computer"
- Double Click on "Dial-up Networking"
- Right click on your Dakota Central icon and then click on "Properties"
- Make sure there is a check mark in front of "Use area code and dialing properties" and click "OK"
- Double click on the Dakota Central icon and click on "Dialing Properties"
- Select "To disable call waiting"
- Click on the down arrow and choose "70#, or *70"
- Click "OK"
Win XP Users:
- Click on the "Start" button
- Click on " Control Panel"
- Click on " Network Connections"
- Right click on the Dakota Central icon and click on "Properties"
- Make sure "Use Dialing Rules" is checked and click on the "Dialing Rules" button
- Click on the "Edit" button and check "To disable call waiting, dial" in the box select "70#, or *70"
- Click "OK" out of all the windows.
